Principal Software Engineer - Search Infra - Elasticsearch

Salary: 369,400–584,300 PLN per year in base salary; no variable compensation.

What you will do

• Define, lead, and contribute to the evolution of hirify.globalsearch indexing, query execution, retrieval, and relevance capabilities.
• Provide technical vision and direction for core search infrastructure and shape the long-term technical roadmap across teams.
• Research advances in search infrastructure, data structures, and retrieval algorithms.
• Design and build robust, scalable, and high-performance software for large-scale search systems.
• Collaborate with partners, product teams, and distributed engineering groups to understand requirements and deliver components.
• Mentor expert engineers and serve as a technical authority for key hirify.globalsearch domains.

Requirements

• Experience leading technical projects in search infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with hirify.globalsearch, Lucene, Solr, or comparable search and indexing technologies.
• Strong Java skills, including advanced data structures, concurrency constructs, lambdas, and algorithm optimization.
• Experience defining technical vision for core search or retrieval systems and working across teams to shape technical roadmaps.
• Experience with large-scale data or search systems and the ability to work autonomously from design through completion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration across distributed teams.

Nice to have

• Experience building with hirify.globalsearch and working in search or information retrieval.
• Experience with open-source projects, source-control workflows, and continuous integration.
