Assistant Manager CIB Compliance Advisory

Location: London, Bristol or Edinburgh, United Kingdom; hybrid working with at least two days per week or 40% of working time in a Risk Hub

Salary: £44,901–£58,970 per year, dependent on location

What you will do

• Provide practical, risk-based Conduct and Compliance advice, challenge and oversight to Corporate and Institutional Banking stakeholders.
• Produce and interpret management information on risk appetite, compliance indicators, incidents, breaches, issues and actions.
• Analyse information from multiple sources and present compliance themes, insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders and governance committees.
• Research regulatory requirements and respond to compliance queries concerning products, clients, transactions, processes and change initiatives.
• Support thematic reviews, policy implementation, risk assessments and evaluations of key control design and effectiveness.
• Assist with managing actions arising from Conduct and Compliance incidents and breaches following Risk and Control Self-Assessments.

Requirements

• Experience in a Compliance Advisory role within the financial services industry is desirable.
• Strong organisation, planning and coordination skills, with the ability to manage workload and deliver team objectives.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to absorb information from multiple sources and develop relevant conclusions and recommendations.
• Relationship-building and collaboration skills.
• Awareness of regulatory topics such as Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI, ring-fencing requirements, conflicts of interest, market abuse, payments and Consumer Duty.
• Experience supporting the delivery of a risk oversight plan is helpful.
