Logistics Assistant I

hirify.global supports scientific research programs by managing the receipt, storage, tracking, and distribution of laboratory materials and equipment.

What you will do

• Receive and inspect laboratory consumables, reagents, IT equipment, scientific instruments, and other research materials.
• Verify shipments against purchase orders and packing slips, process goods receipts in SAP, and maintain receiving documentation.
• Record serial numbers, apply asset tags, and scan and archive packing slips using OCR tools.
• Maintain stockroom inventory, restock satellite laboratory supply stations, and fulfill internal material requests through Webreq.
• Move and stage materials and large laboratory equipment between buildings and storage locations.
• Handle hazardous chemicals and temperature-controlled materials safely while communicating with delivery drivers and internal teams.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, inventory management, or related operational work.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn ERP inventory systems such as SAP.
• Strong attention to detail, accurate inventory transaction processing, teamwork, and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs and perform physically intensive work in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to operate institute vehicles including box trucks, and ability to safely use pallet jacks or similar equipment.
