Public Sector Sales Lead (AI)

Location: Paris, France. Hybrid policy: staff are expected to work from an Anthropic office at least 25% of the time, with some roles requiring more office time.

Annual compensation: €310,000–€380,000 EUR OTE, including base salary and target sales commissions or bonuses.

What you will do

• Define and own the public-sector go-to-market strategy for France, including initial markets, routes to market, and strategic priorities.
• Build trusted relationships with French central-government ministries, ministerial cabinets, senior officials, and digital and technology leaders.
• Own the full sales cycle for strategic public-sector opportunities, from initial engagement and procurement route through contract close, deployment, and expansion.
• Develop resale and partner channels, framework agreements, and central purchasing routes such as UGAP with Partnerships, Legal, and Finance.
• Lead customer discussions on data sovereignty, security, and compliance requirements, including SecNumCloud and the French State cloud doctrine.
• Create the playbooks, customer references, and operating model needed to scale a public-sector team in France.

Requirements

• 15+ years of enterprise technology sales experience, including significant experience running a public-sector business or leading sales teams selling to French central government.
• Experience closing large, complex agreements with major ministries and engaging senior government, cabinet-level, and technical stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of French public procurement, including tenders, framework agreements, central purchasing bodies, and partner or resale routes.
• Expertise in French State data sovereignty, security, and compliance requirements, with the ability to lead these customer conversations.
• Fluent French and English with excellent written and spoken communication in both languages.
• Willingness to undergo French security clearance if required for specific accounts; a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.

• Experience working closely with public policy, government affairs, or institutional relations teams.
• Experience building a new market, business line, or early-stage operation from zero.
• Technical curiosity and the ability to discuss AI products credibly with engineering leaders and senior officials.
