Process Engineer (MedTech)

Location: Limerick, Ireland; onsite at a Johnson & Johnson Vision production facility

Base pay: €42,400–€67,965 per year

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership within production value streams and support process improvement activities.
• Complete process characterization, challenge testing, capability and stability runs within the NPI process.
• Qualify new products and processes and support internal and site product transfers.
• Identify and implement improvements to product quality and overall equipment efficiency.
• Lead process redesign projects, proof-of-principle activities, and the development, installation, and qualification of new equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex equipment, systems, and process problems using statistical and analytical methods while coordinating multiple projects.

Requirements

• Level 8 B.Sc. or B.Eng. honours degree in Physics, Chemistry, Biological Science, Mechanical, Materials, or Process Engineering.
• At least seven years of experience in a manufacturing environment or similar setting.
• Experience delivering technical results and solving process-quality issues through corrective and preventive actions.
• Strong project management, interpersonal, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to use statistical and analytical methodologies for structured problem solving and decision-making.

Nice to have

• Black Belt statistical techniques, including DOE, process capability analysis, and hypothesis testing.
• Equipment validation experience in an FDA-regulated environment.
• Experience with FPx or similar project management frameworks and leading multifunctional teams.
