Sr. Engineer - Process & Equipment (Drug Product Manufacturing)

hirify.global operates a 37,000-square-metre aseptic drug product facility in Dun Laoghaire, specialising in formulation, vial and syringe filling, lyophilisation, and packaging.

What you will do

• Own drug product manufacturing equipment and systems in a GMP-regulated environment.
• Monitor equipment performance, analyse trends, and proactively manage reliability issues.
• Lead system improvements, technical specifications, engineering documentation, and standard operating procedures.
• Conduct root cause analyses, incident investigations, after-action reviews, and complex troubleshooting.
• Support new product and technology introductions, engineering runs, change controls, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Manage maintenance schedules, vendor support, equipment overhauls, and spare-parts planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Electrical, Chemical, or another relevant engineering discipline.
• Manufacturing experience in a regulated environment.
• Experience with statistical analysis tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Applied engineering and problem-solving skills involving mechanical, electromechanical, and automation systems.
• Experience with change control, non-conformance, CAPA, and validation practices is preferred.
• Travel may be required periodically to support project execution.

Nice to have

• Biopharmaceutical formulation, fill-finish, or API manufacturing experience.
• Direct experience with vial or syringe filling equipment.
• Technical leadership, writing, communication, presentation, and project management experience.
• Vendor management, contract negotiation, new product introduction, or new technology deployment experience.
