Engineering Designer, Water

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada — 3381 Steeles Avenue East

Salary: CAD 70,400–88,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and provide consulting support for complex water and wastewater infrastructure assignments.
• Perform hydraulic and hydrologic calculations, utility planning, technical specifications, and cost estimating.
• Prepare design and construction documents for treatment facilities, pump stations, conveyance, distribution, and sewer projects.
• Support field investigations and condition assessments of existing infrastructure.
• Present project deliverables to clients and contribute to client management and proposal development.
• Participate in interdisciplinary project teams and provide peer mentorship in areas of expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering consulting for municipal clients.
• Experience with studies, design, and construction services for water and wastewater projects.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
• EIT licensure or P.Eng. is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience preparing drawings, specifications, and other contract documents for complex water and sewer projects.
• Experience designing treatment plants, pump stations, water distribution systems, and sewer collection assets.
• Experience with hydraulic modeling, urban infrastructure site design, and interdisciplinary coordination.
