Principal Engineer - Water

Location: Hybrid role based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 174,400–218,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and execute strategic business development plans for the Water Sector.
• Build relationships with municipal agencies, industrial clients, developers, landowners, and industry organizations.
• Lead proposals, budgets, schedules, contract scopes, and project execution.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams, subconsultants, resources, finances, change orders, and client invoicing.
• Direct, train, and mentor engineers and technologists in water infrastructure.
• Oversee complex design and maintain quality assurance and quality control across project deliverables.

Requirements

• Professional Engineer designation in Ontario (P.Eng.), or the ability to obtain it.
• 15+ years of relevant municipal water project experience, including at least five years in project management.
• Strong technical expertise and knowledge of industry best practices and standards.
• Experience managing multiple projects of varying complexity and leading technical teams.
• Strong communication, organization, time management, negotiation, and client-service skills.
