Consumables Engineering Co-op (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Provide technical floor support for reagent, sensor, and tubing manufacturing operations.
• Create and revise assembly, testing, operating, and manufacturing documentation in accordance with quality system and ISO requirements.
• Support equipment qualification, process validation, design of experiments, process FMEAs, and continuous improvement studies.
• Set up and install new equipment, design tooling and fixtures, and modify production equipment.
• Measure components and support nonconforming-product investigations involving form, fit, and function.
• Maintain engineering records, communicate project progress, and collaborate with Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, Purchasing, Planning, Distribution, and other functions.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in an accredited bachelor’s degree program in mechanical engineering is required.
• High school diploma required; no previous professional experience is required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, drawings, and manufacturing procedures.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and strong communication, time-management, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team while meeting project deadlines.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds, perform repetitive physical tasks, and use tools, machinery, and required PPE.

Nice to have

• Coursework, project, or work experience with SOLIDWORKS 3D modeling and drafting.
• Interest in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, equipment qualification, validation, tooling, fixtures, and regulated product development.
