Manufacturing Engineering Co-op (January - June 2027)

Location: Anoka, Minnesota, United States; on-site for the duration of the co-op

Salary: $25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support manufacturing project management, production-area and equipment moves, and process implementation.
• Analyze manufacturing data, cycle times, routings, labor standards, and project outcomes.
• Optimize production layouts, material flow, line balancing, and process-center designs with operators, team leaders, and value stream planners.
• Resolve quality issues affecting products and manufacturing methods.
• Apply lean tools including Standard Work, 3P, TPM, SMED, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, and Kaizen.
• Help establish standardized work and promote lean culture through process reviews, events, and Future State Plans.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, graduating between May 2028 and May 2029; juniors and seniors are preferred.
• Ability to work in Anoka, Minnesota, for the full co-op period.
• Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions now or in the future.
• At least one semester of SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Previous work or internship experience.
• Ability to analyze data and draw meaningful, accurate conclusions.

Nice to have

• Project management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD software.
