Maintenance Shop Technician A (Heavy-Duty Trucks)

What you will do

• Repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel refuse trucks and related equipment.
• Service chassis components, refuse bodies, control systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
• Repair engines, air and hydraulic brakes, suspension, drivetrain, steering, heating, and air conditioning systems.
• Perform line maintenance welding and fabrication.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic diagnostic tools and complete applicable training programs.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience working as a technician on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to perform inspections and repairs on selected heavy-truck or automotive systems, including suspension and steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drivetrain, or diesel emissions.
• Valid driver's license.
• Work is based at the Browns Summit, North Carolina location.

Nice to have

• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications T1–T8.
• LNG or CNG experience.
• Class B or higher Commercial Driver's License.
