Maintenance Technician (Industrial Maintenance)

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global Supply Chain Center, 18251 E Petroleum Dr, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. Night shift: 10:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m., five days per week with two days off.

Hourly pay: $31.50 per hour

What you will do

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, replace, and install industrial electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, boilers, water heaters, and water distribution systems.
• Program and troubleshoot automated machinery and programmable logic controllers.
• Perform preventive maintenance, update maintenance logs, and report major equipment issues.
• Maintain building infrastructure, material-handling equipment, electrical panels, and facility systems.
• Monitor inventory and energy usage, support project scheduling, and recommend efficiency improvements.

Requirements

• Experience with refrigeration, electrical systems, controls, mechanical systems, and basic maintenance.
• High school diploma, technical school training, 3–4 years of related experience, or a licensed journeyman skilled trade qualification.
• Ability to read blueprints, mechanical and electrical schematics, and technical instructions.
• Basic computer skills for word processing and spreadsheets.
• Ability to diagnose equipment failures, define problems, draw conclusions, and communicate technical information.
• Strong safety awareness is required when working around moving machinery, electrical hazards, extreme temperatures, vibration, and other production risks.
