Distributed Systems Security Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Define security requirements for distributed systems, from secure boot configurations to workload identity in Kubernetes pods.
• Harden on-premises and cloud clusters across bare-metal, virtualized, and containerized environments.
• Partner with platform, infrastructure, networking, and hardware teams to identify gaps and deliver end-to-end security solutions.
• Develop threat models covering trust boundaries and first- and third-party security mechanisms.
• Collaborate with engineering leads and architects to integrate secure design from the beginning.
• Document security posture and strategy for technical and nontechnical audiences.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience with heterogeneous compute environments, Kubernetes hardening, and networked systems security.
• 10+ years of experience with high-performance computing clusters.
• Strong hands-on engineering experience in on-premises and cloud environments.
• Ability to secure fragmented ecosystems, including modern Kubernetes deployments and bare-metal instances.
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to explain security concepts to non-specialists.

• Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, and distributed compute systems.
