Engineering Manager - Ad Experience Team (AI)

Location: Ljubljana-based hybrid setup; right to work in Slovenia required. The team collaborates with colleagues in Montpellier, France.

What you will do

• Lead and support a distributed team of four frontend and full-stack engineers.
• Develop team members through regular 1:1s, feedback, tailored growth plans, and mentoring.
• Guide the delivery of Studio, Creative Editor, and browser-based ad players.
• Partner with Product Management and UX to translate product strategy into milestones while balancing features and platform stability.
• Champion the rollout of an AI-assisted design agent and real-time creative scoring system.
• Coordinate technical alignment across Angular, React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Scala services.

Requirements

• Experience guiding software engineers as a manager, team lead, or mentor, or significant senior/principal engineering experience with a transition into management.
• Strong understanding of modern web ecosystems and comfort with frontend technologies such as TypeScript, Angular, or React.
• Working knowledge of backend technologies such as Node.js, Scala, or similar.
• Fluent English with strong active listening, empathy, and collaborative communication skills.
• Right to work in Slovenia and availability for a Ljubljana-based hybrid role.

Nice to have

• Experience building rich web applications, WYSIWYG editors, canvas tools, or complex web ad formats.
• Experience integrating AI or LLM models and intelligent scoring systems into user-facing products.
• Experience supporting cross-border collaboration between international engineering hubs.
