Engineering Manager (Travel & Expense)

Location: Hybrid in Barcelona, London, or Paris

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a cross-functional team of around 10 full-stack and mobile engineers.
• Own quarterly objectives and deliver the Travel & Expense roadmap with product and technical partners.
• Improve experiences for business travel, hotel booking, approvals, expense claims, mileage, per diems, reimbursement, and compliance.
• Guide architecture and integrations with travel suppliers, cards, payments, invoices, accounting, identity, and security services.
• Maintain standards for code quality, testing, observability, security, SLOs, incident response, and production ownership.
• Participate in migrating the platform to a service-based architecture using a hexagonal pattern.

Requirements

• Experience leading and developing software engineering teams, including feedback, performance management, recruitment, and onboarding.
• Technical leadership experience across architecture, reliability, security, integrations, and production operations.
• Ability to work with Product Management, Product Design, technical leadership, and partner teams.
• Customer-focused approach with experience using product data, KPIs, and SLOs to guide delivery.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup from Barcelona, London, or Paris.
