Senior Principal Product Manager (Medtech)

Location: Hybrid role in Galway, County Galway, Ireland

Salary: €102,720–€154,080 per year, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan.

What you will do

• Define product vision and roadmaps for connected device, cloud, mobile, and enterprise solutions based on patient and clinician workflows.
• Lead continuous discovery with patients, clinicians, and care teams, converting evidence and post-market signals into product opportunities and delivery priorities.
• Own product KPIs, outcome-based OKRs, prioritization frameworks, and the end-to-end backlog, including problem statements, acceptance criteria, and value hypotheses.
• Make trade-off decisions across safety, reliability, quality, scope, time, cost, technology, and technical debt.
• Manage the full device and digital product lifecycle, including modernization, obsolescence planning, phase-in/phase-out activities, launch readiness, and supply continuity.
• Partner with engineering, quality, regulatory, security, operations, commercial, clinical, and executive stakeholders, and accept delivered work against safety, regulatory, and quality criteria.

Requirements

• Honours Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of product management experience, or equivalent, including direct backlog ownership and delivery accountability.
• Experience managing regulated, safety-critical, global device and digital products, roadmaps, outcomes, and prioritized backlogs.
• Experience working in Agile environments with epics, stories, acceptance criteria, sprint ceremonies, and formal increment acceptance.
• Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams by influence and make evidence-based product and investment trade-offs.
• Fluency across software platforms such as cloud, mobile, and enterprise systems and/or embedded systems.
• Ability to evaluate AI/ML capabilities and translate them into strategic product requirements while maintaining safety, regulatory compliance, and clinical standards.

Nice to have

• Experience with FDA, EU MDR, and ISO 13485 frameworks, design reviews, risk assessments, and audit interactions.
• Experience embedding cybersecurity, privacy, reliability, and safety-by-design principles into product architecture and backlogs.
• Experience with business cases, P&L influence, ROI modeling, and multi-year investment decisions.
• Experience with continuous discovery, empowered teams, platform strategies, API ecosystems, and interoperability standards such as FHIR.
• Understanding of AI-enabled care delivery and regulatory or reimbursement frameworks for AI/ML as a medical device.
