Principal Technology Product Manager

Location: Flexible work location across Ireland with office, remote, or hybrid arrangements; monthly touchpoints in Dublin and an annual trip to New York. Work permit sponsorship and self-sponsorship are not available.

Brightflag is an AI-powered enterprise legal management platform within the Legal & Regulatory division of hirify.global, helping corporate legal departments manage matters, legal spend, and collaboration with outside counsel.

What you will do

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for the shared platform layer, including APIs, MCP, identity and access, notifications, reporting, audit, and AP/PS tooling.
• Build and operate an intake and prioritisation mechanism for requests from three vertical product teams.
• Define Brightflag’s MCP server strategy and partner with engineering on architecture, sequencing, and build-versus-buy decisions.
• Define platform health metrics covering adoption, reliability, latency, developer onboarding, incident response, and audit coverage.
• Write technical documentation and API/tool contracts for internal engineers and external developers.
• Shape responsible AI-assisted engineering practices, mentor other product managers, and represent platform trade-offs to product and engineering leadership.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience, including meaningful work on platform, infrastructure, identity and access, developer tools, or API teams.
• Technical foundation in computer science, engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience, with the ability to engage in architecture and protocol discussions.
• Experience with identity and access management concepts such as OAuth 2.0/2.1, OIDC, SSO, directory sync, and least-privilege access, and/or API platform patterns such as REST, webhooks, rate limiting, and versioning.
• Strong technical judgment, API design skills, and the ability to make architectural trade-offs and solve ambiguous problems.
• Ability to operate without an established backlog, align competing demands, and collaborate credibly with architects, engineers, and product leaders.

Nice to have

• Exposure to MCP, function calling, or agent tooling.
• Experience in a multi-product SaaS company.
