TL;DR
Staff Integrations and AI Engineer (Workday) (Workday HCM/Finance): Designing, building, and supporting secure integrations and API-driven automations across Workday ecosystems with an accent on Workday Studio, EIBs, iPaaS workflows, and AI-enabled processes. Focus on leading end-to-end integration delivery, solving data movement and reliability challenges, and maintaining security, monitoring, and operational controls.
Location: Madrid Office, on-site
Salary: €75K–€90K annually, plus 15% bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, testing, deployment, and support of Workday HCM and Finance integrations.
- Translate HR, Talent Acquisition, and Finance requirements into technical designs, data flows, and integration solutions.
- Build integrations using Workday Studio, EIBs, Workday connectors, reports-as-a-service, web services, Workday Orchestrate for Integrations, and document transformations.
- Develop API-driven integrations and automations using REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, XSLT, and GraphQL.
- Orchestrate workflows with iPaaS technologies such as Workato and responsibly incorporate AI capabilities into business processes.
- Own troubleshooting, monitoring, root-cause analysis, production support, release-impact testing, documentation, and operational improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on Workday integration development experience focused on Workday HCM or Financials.
- Experience leading integration initiatives from requirements and design through deployment and post-production support.
- Practical expertise with Workday Studio, EIBs, Workday web services, Core Connectors, custom reports, Integration Security Groups, and document transformations.
- Strong experience with XSLT, XML, JSON, REST APIs, SOAP APIs, and API-based integration patterns.
- Experience with iPaaS technologies, preferably Workato or a comparable platform.
- Strong understanding of Workday HCM or Finance processes, data quality, security, reliability, communication, and analytical problem-solving.
Nice to have
- Experience building AI-enabled workflows through APIs and integrating AI services safely and at scale.
- Experience with Claude Code, command-line tooling, or developer productivity automation.
- Experience with Workday Orchestrate for Integrations, Workday Extend, Workday Security, BIRT, or automated integration testing.
- Experience supporting global or multi-country HCM or Finance environments.
- Workday Integration or Workday Studio certification.
