TL;DR
Payroll Specialist (Mid-Level) (International Payroll): Managing end-to-end payroll execution and benefits administration for Spain while coordinating external providers in Italy and Portugal with an accent on payroll incidents, taxation, social security, and employee support. Focus on reconciling monthly payroll data, maintaining personnel records, and ensuring compliance across multiple country processes.
Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid work arrangement. A valid working visa for Spain is required.

What you will do
- Execute monthly payroll operations for Spain, including bonuses, overtime, one-time payments, flexible remuneration, benefits in kind, settlements, and personal income tax.
- Coordinate monthly payroll inputs and outputs with external payroll providers in Italy and Portugal.
- Support employees with questions about compensation, benefits, taxation, and deductions.
- Manage personnel administration, employee records, contracts, registrations, terminations, and medical leaves.
- Ensure compliance with Spanish social security obligations and maintain personnel databases.
- Reconcile monthly payroll data with the Finance department.
Requirements
- Approximately 2–3 years of relevant payroll experience, preferably in an international environment.
- Degree in Labour Relations, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience managing end-to-end payroll processes and working with internal stakeholders or external payroll providers.
- Experience with payroll administration systems and institutions such as Sistema RED/SILTRA, AEAT, Segurança Social, AT, INPS, or equivalents.
- Fluent or professional Spanish and English, written and verbal.
- Valid working visa for Spain.
Nice to have
- Experience with payroll systems such as SUMMAR (LABOR), SDWORX (INTEGHRO), META4, A3NOM, SAP, or similar.
- Experience with Workday.
- International payroll experience across more than one country.
