About the Role

You will identify architectural gaps, set technical standards, mentor engineers, and own complex features from concept through production. You will build web, mobile, and service-layer functionality, use AI tools to improve workflows, and maintain progressive delivery, CI/CD, observability, performance, reliability, and security.

Requirements

• 7 to 8 years of production software experience
• Experience owning a complex high-traffic production system end to end
• Expertise in React, Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, RESTful APIs, and content management platforms
• Knowledge of server-side rendering, caching patterns, and Core Web Vitals
• Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using Playwright and Maestro
• Experience with CI/CD, security practices, feature flags, and telemetry
• Experience with high-volume consumer platforms or media properties

Responsibilities

• Identify architectural gaps and deliver lasting solutions
• Set technical direction, architectural standards, and engineering practices
• Mentor engineers, review code, and share technical context
• Own complex features from concept through production
• Collaborate with product managers and designers on feature scoping
• Build web, mobile, and service-layer functionality
• Build systems with Next.js, React, TypeScript, and backend services
• Use AI tools and develop internal AI tooling
• Champion feature flags, CI/CD pipelines, and production observability
