Finance Business Analyst

Location: Hybrid work from the Brisbane (Northgate) or Sydney (Erskine Park) office, Australia

What you will do

• Analyse current-state finance processes across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and Financial Reporting, and define future-state processes.
• Translate finance needs into structured business requirements and use cases for solution vendors.
• Develop test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria, and coordinate User Acceptance Testing across Finance functions.
• Support finance system implementation activities, including data validation, process walkthroughs, and cutover readiness.
• Contribute to Statements of Work by defining scope, assumptions, and deliverables.
• Facilitate workshops with Finance, IT, operational stakeholders, and external vendors.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Experience in Finance or finance transformation projects, with knowledge of end-to-end finance operations, financial controls, and month-end processes.
• Experience with ERP or finance systems such as Microsoft Dynamics GP, Esker, or similar platforms.
• Experience supporting finance system implementations, upgrades, or process improvement initiatives.
• Strong process mapping, documentation, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work from the Brisbane or Sydney office under a hybrid arrangement.
