Senior Underwriter Cyber (Management Liability)

Location: Hybrid in New York City, with typically two days per week in the office at 1 Battery Park Plaza; local and overnight travel may be required.

Salary: $76,000–$114,000 expected starting annual salary range; national range $76,000–$141,300.

What you will do

• Assess complex cyber and management liability risks using financial documents, operational information, industry data, governance, regulatory context, and loss exposure analysis.
• Determine and negotiate premiums, coverage, terms, conditions, endorsements, and exclusions for insurance contracts.
• Analyze territory-level premium and loss results, review claims and loss history, and handle complex policy maintenance and mid-term requests.
• Build and maintain broker relationships through marketing visits, client meetings, and technical underwriting support.
• Place reinsurance according to department guidelines and maintain relationships with reinsurers.
• Support program, form, and rate development while mentoring lower-level underwriters.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of related experience as a Cyber and/or Tech E&O Underwriter.
• Undergraduate studies focused on finance, accounting, economics, and/or risk management; postgraduate studies are preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance underwriting policies, practices, procedures, insurance law, financial documents, financial analysis, market conditions, and reinsurance.
• Advanced negotiation, analytical, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under limited supervision.
• This role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization, and hirify.global does not participate in the STEM OPT Extension program.
