Land Acquisition Area Manager (Real Estate)

Location: Akron, Ohio, United States; overnight travel is required.

What you will do

• Identify and pursue land acquisition opportunities aligned with business objectives and housing demand.
• Lead negotiations with landowners, brokers, developers, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
• Evaluate opportunities through financial analysis, due diligence, and risk assessment.
• Structure transactions, coordinate entitlement, environmental, engineering, and legal reviews, and manage acquisitions through closing.
• Prepare acquisition recommendations for senior leadership and support long-range land planning.
• Build industry relationships and represent the company at meetings, events, and networking opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, real estate, finance, urban planning, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Five to seven years of progressive experience in land acquisition, development, real estate, or homebuilding.
• Ability to independently manage complex transactions and make sound business recommendations.
• Ability to balance risk, profitability, and strategic objectives.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to travel overnight and perform the physical requirements of an office-based role.
