Title Manager (Renewable Energy)

Location: Charlottesville, VA, USA; able to work from the headquarters

Develops, constructs, and operates utility-scale wind, solar, storage, distributed energy, and green fuel projects across North America.

What you will do

• Supervise the Title Analysts team and train new team members.
• Order, review, and process title insurance commitments, title curative documents, and ALTA surveys.
• Obtain and review quotes for title commitments, mineral searches, title policies, and related services.
• Edit title proformas, prepare legal exhibits, and draft documents for project financing.
• Track title work and communicate financing requirements to internal and external stakeholders.
• Research deeds, tax parcel and GIS data, maintain land records, and support the Land Department and real estate attorneys.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• At least 3 years of title abstracting and/or underwriting experience; commercial underwriting experience is strongly preferred.
• At least 1 year of people leadership experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, accountability, attention-to-detail, and deadline-management skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with GIS and mapping tools.
• Must be able to work from the Charlottesville, Virginia headquarters. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required for employees hired after August 1, 2021, unless an approved accommodation applies.

Nice to have

• Experience closing large-scale commercial transactions, especially renewable energy transactions.
• Experience with title abstracting and commercial underwriting.
