What you will do

  • Research markets and competitors to identify land acquisition opportunities and growth areas.
  • Prepare financial models, land valuations, development cost estimates, and acquisition pro formas.
  • Evaluate demographic trends, housing demand, pricing, absorption rates, and market conditions.
  • Coordinate engineering, environmental, utility, title, entitlement, and development due diligence.
  • Track contracts, contingency periods, approvals, and transaction milestones.
  • Prepare acquisition packages, reports, presentations, maps, and pipeline documentation while collaborating with internal teams, consultants, brokers, and landowners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, Economics, Urban Planning, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Zero to two years of experience in real estate, land acquisition, finance, development, homebuilding, or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of real estate principles, financial analysis, and land development processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to sit for most of an eight-hour workday and perform the listed physical and communication activities.
