Research Associate – Consumer Group

Location: Boston, MA or New York, NY; on-site

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 per year, with bonuses of up to 25% of base salary.

What you will do

• Support research analysts in producing actionable research for institutional clients.
• Research market and industry trends, company performance, and sector-specific developments.
• Build, maintain, and update financial models, tables, and graphs.
• Develop opinions and recommendations on securities and companies within the consumer sector.
• Prepare reports and statistical data for clients and the investing public.
• Discuss research findings with sales and trading associates and institutional clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 3.5 GPA.
• Recent graduate status or up to one year of experience in equity research, investment analysis, accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, writing, and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and work independently in an intellectually challenging environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Securities Industry Essentials, Series 86, 87, and 63 licenses are preferred but not required; new hires without them must complete the required licensing after joining.

• CFA qualification.
