Specialist, Access and Reimbursement (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Partner with Field Reimbursement Managers and healthcare providers in assigned territories to improve patient access and outcomes.
• Educate stakeholders on patient support programs, access tools, reimbursement services, and patient eligibility.
• Provide expertise on payer plans, prior authorization, medical exception, and appeal processes through inbound and outbound calls.
• Build relationships with healthcare providers and coordinate clear, efficient communication among stakeholders.
• Assess and prioritize account-level workloads while improving resource allocation and operational efficiency.
• Support process improvement initiatives, performance standards, privacy requirements, and compliant case processing.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in health sciences or business preferred; relevant experience may be considered.
• 3–5 years of healthcare industry experience, including reimbursement, billing, prior authorization, appeals, and specialty pharmacy operations.
• Strong knowledge of coverage, coding, payment, distribution, payer policies, and reimbursement support regulations.
• Understanding of access and reimbursement support service centers and compliant stakeholder interactions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage challenging customer issues.
