Field Reimbursement Manager (Healthcare)

Location: Richmond, Virginia, with territory coverage across Fredericksburg, Norfolk, and Roanoke; 3 days per week in the geography, 1–2 home-office days per week, and 60–80% travel by automobile or plane.

What you will do

• Manage defined healthcare accounts within a geographic territory as part of the Patient Access and Reimbursement strategy.
• Provide live coverage support as an extension of the HUB throughout the reimbursement journey.
• Support prior authorization, appeals, denials, claims resolution, benefits investigation, and alternative funding processes.
• Review patient-specific insurance information and resolve coverage or reimbursement challenges involving protected health information.
• Educate healthcare providers on commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid coverage, benefit design, and utilization management requirements.
• Coordinate access and reimbursement issues with HUB partners and internal departments while communicating payer changes to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree; or a master’s degree plus 3 years of customer service or leadership experience; or a bachelor’s degree plus 5 years; or an associate degree plus 10 years; or a high school diploma/GED plus 12 years.
• Experience directly managing people or leading teams, projects, programs, or resource allocation.
• Ability to travel up to 60–80% by automobile or plane and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong medical reimbursement, specialty pharmacy, buy-and-bill, insurance verification, claims, or healthcare industry experience.
• Knowledge of medical insurance terminology and CMS policies, including Medicare Part B and Part D processes.
• Strong communication, presentation, organization, problem-solving, computer literacy, and project management skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or a related field.
• Six years of experience with specialty, biologic self-injectable, or physician-administered products.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Experience managing multiple projects, budgets, and web-based meetings.
