Maintenance Technician III (Industrial Mechanic)

Location: North Chicago, Illinois, United States; onsite, first shift, 8 hours per day

Salary: $27–$48.80 per hour

What you will do

• Provide senior-level technical support within the maintenance department.
• Maintain department assets and equipment reliability while meeting quality standards.
• Assist with root cause investigations and reliability-centered maintenance analysis.
• Create and edit maintenance job plans across multiple skilled trade disciplines.
• Train lower-level technicians on advanced maintenance tasks.
• Support cross-functional teams, continuous improvement projects, and site safety initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma with 10+ years of experience, a relevant certificate with 5+ years of experience, or an associate technical degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in two or more skilled maintenance functions.
• Advanced use of machine, diagnostic, and predictive tools.
• Intermediate MS Windows skills.
• Experience with pump rebuilds, fan bearing changes, overhead door repairs, shaft alignment, and brazing and threading of pipe.
• Follow all safety and GMP regulations.

Nice to have

• CMRT certification or equivalent accreditation.
