Maintenance Tech II - 2nd Shift

Location: Laredo, Texas, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

Salary: $27.00–$39.25 per hour

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments on conveyors, automation, robotics, and ancillary production equipment.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions, analyze production delays and spoilage causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Document maintenance work, operating logs, issues, and repairs in CMMS, ticketing systems, and production reports.
• Assemble and test equipment, maintain facility systems such as fire pumps, generators, and HVAC equipment, and complete building repairs.
• Mentor maintenance personnel, guide junior engineers, assist mechanics, and oversee assigned renovation, inventory, contractor, and efficiency projects.
• Operate and become certified on industrial lift equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, booms, and scissor lifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience repairing and maintaining forklifts, conveyors, and general equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting complex equipment, including inputs, outputs, and PLC logic systems.
• Ability to use basic computer software, including Microsoft Excel, and maintain accurate technical records.
• Ability to work safely with Lockout/Tagout, Arc Flash procedures, PPE, ladders, heights, and physically demanding equipment maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work onsite in Laredo, Texas, work overtime and on-call shifts, and travel up to 10% within and outside the state.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, HVAC, or an equivalent field.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program or current trade certification.
