hirify.global operates within Caterpillar and develops and supports gas turbine equipment and production testing operations.

What you will do

• Construct, install, modify, test, maintain, and repair facility electrical and electronic systems supporting PGM 130 gas turbine package production testing.
• Interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, schematic diagrams, technical manuals, control logic, NEC requirements, and applicable municipal codes.
• Troubleshoot and repair variable frequency drives, generators and controls, motor control centers, motors, transformers, switchgear, power supplies, converters, and safety relays.
• Use ammeters, voltmeters, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and computerized diagnostic equipment for functional testing.
• Perform lockout/tagout, circuit hookups and disconnects, grounding verification, load bank and transformer voltage changes, and generator package loading procedures.
• Monitor facility AC logs and follow production test instructions and safety practices during test operations.

Requirements

• Completion of a journeyman or electrical training program.
• At least 3 years of electrical-related work experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings, applicable drawings, and technical manuals.
• Ability to work a 4/10 schedule, Monday through Thursday.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Payroll transfer is not available for this role.

Nice to have

• Ladder logic experience.
• Experience working with 24-volt or higher systems.
• Experience troubleshooting and using electrical test equipment.
• Power distribution training.
• Experience conducting high-potential testing.
