Sr Building Engineer (Life Sciences)

Location: Spring House, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite facility operations. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

What you will do

• Monitor and maintain complex building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Assign work orders, estimate repair time and materials, and maintain inventories of tools and supplies.
• Lead preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, inspections, and system sign-offs for HVAC, plumbing, and fire alarms.
• Develop energy management programs to improve system efficiency.
• Oversee outside contractors and respond to client, coworker, and supervisor inquiries.
• Coach colleagues, influence multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to operational standards and plans.

Requirements

• High school, GED, or trade school diploma with 5–8 years of related experience; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• Universal CFC certification is required.
• Additional certification in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, process controls, plumbing, carpentry, painting, or engine repair.
• Ability to perform physical duties including climbing, standing, walking, and lifting or carrying loads of 50 pounds or more.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, strong organizational skills, and sophisticated math skills.
• Current authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship is required.
