Capital Engineer (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Deliver approved CAPEX and non-CAPEX projects across manufacturing, warehousing, fulfilment, asset care, and logistics operations.
• Develop user requirement specifications, support tendering, coordinate contractors, and manage project costs and schedules.
• Coordinate suppliers and contractors through planning, installation, commissioning, and operational handover.
• Improve gross margin through labour efficiency, yield, utility optimisation, and other operational improvements.
• Support Lean, continuous improvement, root-cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain engineering documentation, standard work, risk controls, and compliance with applicable standards.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in engineering, business, or a suitable discipline.
• Strong experience in manufacturing project management and hands-on experience in a similar role.
• Experience with ISO quality systems, HACCP, GFI, WHS, GMP, and preferably FSSC 22000 environments.
• Mechanical aptitude, basic machine troubleshooting, and processing, packing, or mechanical experience.
• Experience implementing Lean methodologies and improving site-wide efficiency, risk, and waste outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder management, operational IT skills, Microsoft Office proficiency, and attention to detail.
