Director, Fabrication Operations (Experiential & Events)

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day operations across multiple departments to meet production schedules, quality standards, and project deadlines.
• Oversee production and delivery of custom builds for trade shows, branded environments, and temporary installations.
• Develop initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and scale production capabilities.
• Coordinate engineering, creative, supply chain, quality assurance, and finance functions.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and KPI-based decision-making.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing leadership team while partnering with senior leadership on operational strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive operations or production management experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Direct experience in trade show fabrication or live event environments.
• Experience managing large-scale production for custom, high-visibility projects with tight timelines.
• Strong leadership, communication, change management, and hands-on problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with automation or advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Success leading cultural and operational transformation initiatives.
