AI Enablement Lead (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in the Austin, Chicago, DC, or NYC office; in-office attendance is required on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

Salary: $200,000–$220,000 U.S. base salary per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the Ascent roadmap across the Software Factory and Enterprise Track programs, making prioritization and sequencing decisions across shared infrastructure.
• Write product specifications and requirements that dedicated engineering teams can execute without direct managerial oversight.
• Track platform maturity across connected systems, hirify.global-native knowledge, reusable skill marketplaces, learning systems, automation, and AI-assisted software development.
• Build the feedback loop for usage, session data, AI spend, skill adoption, and measurable business value through instrumentation and reporting.
• Represent Ascent to engineering, executive, and non-technical stakeholders, explaining current capabilities, limitations, and roadmap direction.
• Stay hands-on with AI coding agents and developer tooling, using prototypes and direct experimentation to guide product decisions.

Requirements

• 5–8 years leading platform-level or 0-to-1 initiatives from ambiguity to a working roadmap.
• Deep hands-on experience building with AI coding agents and AI developer tools.
• Ability to build working, code-based prototypes using AI coding agents without being expected to ship production code.
• Experience writing specifications and driving prioritization across technical programs without direct authority over delivery teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication for audiences ranging from engineers to executives.
• Comfort defining the roadmap and operating rhythm for a newly established function.

Nice to have

• Experience in AI or developer-tools product management, internal platforms, developer experience tooling, or AI-enablement products.
• Experience partnering with teams at different levels of technical and organizational maturity.
• Familiarity with adoption and enablement activities such as rollout, communications, and training.
• Experience at a scaling technology company where the function was still being defined.
