TL;DR
Senior Project Manager, Data Center Expansion (AI): Identifying, evaluating, contracting, and delivering new data centre and colocation capacity in Iceland with an accent on power, cooling, fibre connectivity, procurement, and commercial agreements. Focus on assessing high-density infrastructure, negotiating supplier and colocation contracts, coordinating expansion workstreams, and managing budgets, risks, and regulatory compliance.
Location: Iceland; remote from Iceland with hybrid status and frequent travel to sites across Iceland.

is building a full-stack AI cloud spanning data centres, hardware, and a cloud platform for AI teams. The company is headquartered in Helsinki and operates globally with offices in London and San Francisco.
What you will do
- Identify, evaluate, and develop data centre and infrastructure expansion opportunities across Iceland.
- Assess site proposals and colocation opportunities, including power, cooling, fibre connectivity, redundancy, rack density, and physical security.
- Negotiate and manage colocation leases, partnerships, vendor contracts, and other commercial agreements.
- Run RFI/RFP and procurement processes, including vendor shortlisting, commercial evaluation, negotiation, and contract execution.
- Manage budgets, financial models, investment cases, project risks, and reporting to senior management.
- Coordinate Construction, Data Centre Operations, Hardware, Procurement, Legal, authorities, utilities, and external stakeholders to deliver projects.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in data centre capacity acquisition, colocation procurement, or infrastructure real estate.
- Strong understanding of facility power and cooling infrastructure and the ability to identify technical gaps.
- Hands-on experience reviewing inbound colocation proposals and leading site shortlisting.
- Proven experience running RFI/RFP processes, evaluating suppliers, and negotiating commercial agreements.
- Experience reviewing and negotiating colocation and power contracts.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to sites across Iceland.
Nice to have
- Experience with high-density GPU or HPC facilities, including 140kW+ per rack, liquid cooling, and InfiniBand-compatible infrastructure.
- Relationships with Icelandic colocation operators and capacity brokers.
- Knowledge of local power markets, grid connections, substation capacity, and renewable energy sourcing.
- Experience closing multiple technical-to-commercial infrastructure deals simultaneously.
