Technical Project Manager (AI)

What you will do

• Manage Applied AI data collection and evaluation projects from technical scoping through validation, delivery, and retrospective review.
• Translate AI requirements into data specifications, annotation guidelines, evaluation plans, schemas, metadata requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate SFT, RLHF preference-data, model evaluation, human review, automated evaluation, and LLM-as-a-judge workflows.
• Partner with engineering, data operations, SMEs, and vendors to manage integrations, tooling, quality checks, dependencies, risks, and blockers.
• Use SQL and business intelligence tools to analyze throughput, quality, unit economics, supplier performance, and delivery velocity.
• Lead root-cause analysis and validation activities, ensuring accurate datasets, evaluation results, and continuous improvements to tooling and pipelines.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of technical project management experience in AI/ML, data platforms, or technical data operations.
• Strong understanding of LLM training and evaluation, including SFT, RLHF, human evaluation, automated evaluation, LLM-as-a-judge, and red teaming.
• Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of data pipelines, structured data formats, APIs, and validation processes.
• Experience managing technical requirements, dependencies, issue resolution, unit economics, and delivery velocity with engineering partners.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban workflows and strong communication across multilingual contributor networks.
• Fluency in an additional language is required.

Nice to have

• Python or scripting experience for data analysis, workflow automation, or evaluation scripting.
• Experience managing specialized SMEs or contributor networks across technical domains.
• Experience with annotation platforms, automated evaluation tools, business intelligence tools, and Jira.
• Experience delivering complex multilingual or multimodal data projects.
• Background in computer science, data science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
