Senior Software Engineer, Full-stack - D&I Solutions

Location: United States, remote. If located near an office, work from that office 3 days per week.

US base salary: $160,600–$200,800 nationally; $172,200–$215,200 in New York City and California; $182,900–$228,600 in San Francisco.

hirify.global designs, operates, and processes data from a large constellation of imaging satellites through a cloud-based platform serving commercial, environmental, humanitarian, Defense, and Intelligence customers.

What you will do

• Design and implement features across the user interface, API, and data layers.
• Develop and maintain applications with React, TypeScript, and Python.
• Build APIs and services integrating with upstream geospatial systems and data sources.
• Make architectural decisions covering component design, state management, API contracts, and service boundaries.
• Own features from discovery through deployment, observability, and production support.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience building and operating web applications end to end.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Proficiency with React, TypeScript, component-based frontend architecture, and a server-side language such as Python or Go.
• Experience building and operating backend services and REST APIs, with knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, and query performance.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States; access to export-controlled information must not require additional export licensing.

Nice to have

• Experience with mapping libraries, geospatial data pipelines, or data visualization tools.
• Experience with containerized deployments, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, modern testing frameworks, and CI/CD.
• Experience using AI tools to enhance productivity.
• Background in geospatial technology, remote sensing, or the Defense and Intelligence sector.
