Software Engineer - Fullstack (React/Python)

Location: Hybrid role with in-office presence; the listed location is San Francisco, California, with applicable offices in Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, New York, and London.

Salary: $135,000–$200,000 annualized, potentially higher depending on level, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Build product experiences for the Local Conversations team’s Rewards & Incentives pod.
• Develop high-quality web experiences across the frontend and backend using React and Python/Django.
• Contribute to entity-relationship modeling, solution architecture, implementation, testing, and iteration.
• Partner with product, design, frontend, backend, data science, infrastructure, and machine learning engineers.
• Participate in engineering operating practices, including a gradual on-call shadow rotation after onboarding.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of software development experience and a track record of owning projects with increasing independence.
• Production software development and delivery experience.
• Strong frontend fundamentals, modern JavaScript, and React experience.
• Experience with a server-side web application language; Python/Django is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with SQL and development across frontend and backend systems.
• Strong collaboration and written and verbal communication skills, with flexibility in a dynamic environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Storybook or other component-driven development practices.
• Interest in contributing product ideas and perspective.
• Eagerness to explore and apply AI tools and emerging technologies.
