Member Service Representative (Full-Time) – Kempsville (Banking)

Location: On-site at 5269 Providence Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23464, United States. The role may require working at or transferring permanently to neighboring branches within a reasonable commuting distance.

Salary: $20.82–$24.19 per hour

What you will do

• Provide counseling on deposit, lending, credit, debit card, and other financial products.
• Open and maintain deposit accounts, loans, and related member products.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, and other routine transactions.
• Research and resolve basic account discrepancies and service requests.
• Identify opportunities to educate members and cross-service products.
• Handle cash and negotiable instruments securely while complying with financial regulations.

Requirements

• Build effective relationships through rapport, trust, diplomacy, and tact.
• Demonstrate research, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and sound judgment skills.
• Work independently and collaboratively in a high-production, changing environment.
• Navigate multiple systems efficiently and adapt to evolving technologies and change initiatives.
• Be available Monday through Saturday, with hours based on business needs.
• Work on-site in Virginia Beach and potentially at neighboring branches within commuting distance.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of deposit and loan products, services, and operational procedures.
• Customer service experience, preferably in banking or a financial institution.
