TL;DR
Member Services Representative (Banking Operations): Processing member transactions, loan applications, account openings, cash operations, and domestic and international wire transfers with an accent on customer service, financial accuracy, and branch operations. Focus on balancing teller and ATM activities, maintaining compliance with BSA, CIP, and OFAC procedures, and resolving member and teller issues across branch locations.

Location: Fully on-site at One Brigham Circle in Boston, Massachusetts, with travel to branch locations in Boston, Cambridge, and Somerville.

What you will do

  • Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, stop payments, cash advances, money orders, and consumer loan applications.
  • Open and maintain savings, checking, certificate, and IRA accounts, including transfers and rollovers.
  • Support domestic and international wire transfers, payroll maintenance, ACH originations, foreign currency sales, and check collection.
  • Balance teller drawers, cash recyclers, ATMs, vault operations, and daily branch settlements.
  • Resolve member issues and complaints, provide telephone coverage, and refer complex matters to senior representatives or managers.
  • Support tellers, promote appropriate credit union products, and follow BSA, CIP, CTR, OFAC, and suspicious-activity procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and at least one year of relevant training and cash-handling experience.
  • Customer service, problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, and computer skills.
  • Ability to work occasional early Saturday mornings on a rotating basis and attend late meetings or events when required.
  • Ability to work fully on-site in Massachusetts and travel to branch locations in Boston, Cambridge, and Somerville.
  • Ability to work in a diverse and multicultural university environment.
