Annual salary: $145,311–$196,597 for Account Manager Level 4 or $158,931–$215,025 for Specialty Account Manager Level 5.

What you will do

  • Represent TEPEZZA to physicians and healthcare professionals within the assigned East Bay territory.
  • Develop and execute territory business plans to achieve annual sales goals.
  • Build customer relationships and drive product demand through disease-state and product education.
  • Coordinate with patient services, market access, and other field teams to address access, pull-through, reimbursement, and account needs.
  • Educate healthcare professionals and office staff on site-of-care options and attend medical congresses and society meetings as needed.
  • Maintain accurate territory activity, administrative records, compliance, and budget management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or hospital sales experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience are accepted.
  • For the Specialty Account Manager level: doctorate with 2 years, master’s degree with 6 years, bachelor’s degree with 8 years, or associate degree with 10 years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience.
  • Pharmaceutical account-management selling experience and the ability to coordinate across field teams are essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational, and customer-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to complete required company training.
  • Must support the East Bay, California territory and travel approximately 30%.

Nice to have

  • Buy-and-bill experience with documented success.
  • Biologic, infusion, site-of-care, or reimbursement experience.
  • Sales experience in ophthalmology, endocrinology, or rare and specialty disease states.
  • Experience working with institutions and integrated delivery networks.
