Annual salary: $145,311–$196,597 for Account Manager Level 4 or $158,931–$215,025 for Specialty Account Manager Level 5.

What you will do
- Represent rare disease products to physicians, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders involved in patient care.
- Achieve sales objectives through patient-centered disease and product education while following compliance requirements.
- Execute strategic account business plans and identify opportunities across academic institutions, integrated delivery networks, accountable care organizations, private practices, and community hospitals.
- Build relationships with local, regional, and national key opinion leaders within the assigned territory and therapeutic area.
- Collaborate with case managers, medical affairs, patient access, market access, reimbursement, and other cross-functional partners.
- Apply a technical, consultative selling approach and maintain advanced disease and therapeutic knowledge.
Requirements
- Account Manager Level 4: bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant sales experience, or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
- Specialty Account Manager Level 5: doctorate with 2 years, master's degree with 6 years, bachelor's degree with 8 years, or associate degree with 10 years of account management, sales, and commercial experience.
- Seven or more years of experience in biotech, specialty pharmaceutical, or rare disease sales is preferred.
- Experience in rare disease or orphan drug sales, launch experience, in-office injection or infusion sales, and patient access coordination is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical, computer, interpersonal, and Microsoft Office skills are required.
- Approximately 20–30% travel is required, including occasional overnight and weekend travel.

- Nephrology experience.
- Ultra-orphan disease experience.
- Graduate business or healthcare-related degree.
- Experience with market development, deep profiling, and complex diseases diagnosed through clinical observation.
