hirify.global develops scalable high-temperature nuclear power systems, fuel fabrication capabilities, and advanced energy infrastructure for industrial applications.

What you will do

  • Serve as the electrical discipline technical authority for medium- and low-voltage systems across reactor and nuclear fuel manufacturing facilities.
  • Own power system studies, protection design, equipment specification, single-line diagrams, installation, commissioning, and energisation.
  • Establish electrical engineering standards, calculation methods, study bases, equipment templates, and protection philosophies.
  • Lead electrical architecture and technology selection for first-of-a-kind applications, including power conversion, large drives, emergency power, and unusual load or fault conditions.
  • Direct vendor evaluations, factory audits, witness testing, contractor reviews, interdisciplinary design reviews, and technical issue resolution.
  • Mentor engineers, approve technical deliverables, lead failure root-cause analysis, and maintain traceable engineering records for nuclear quality requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in process, industrial, or power projects focused on medium- and low-voltage distribution.
  • End-to-end ownership of electrical scope on a major capital project, from front-end design through commissioning and energisation.
  • Expert proficiency with SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or equivalent for load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, voltage-drop, motor-starting, and harmonic studies.
  • Experience with MV protection engineering, relay settings, arc-flash analysis to IEEE 1584, grounding design to IEEE 80, vendor evaluation, and factory acceptance activities.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

Nice to have

  • Professional Engineer registration or equivalent.
  • Nuclear facility electrical design and nuclear classification experience, including IEEE 384 or CSA N290.7.
  • Experience with seismic qualification, IEC 61850, DC systems and battery sizing, utility interconnection studies, or novel electrical architectures.

Culture & Benefits

  • High-impact startup environment with significant ownership and autonomy.
  • Comprehensive medical benefits, unlimited PTO, and equity ownership.
  • Free daily lunch and dinner provided onsite.
  • Generous PPE stipend and opportunities for rapid career growth.
