Facilities Engineer II (HVAC/Black Utilities): Maintaining and optimizing black utilities systems for the DFP-US manufacturing facility with an accent on HVAC, chilled water, plant steam, compressed air, vacuum, wastewater, and cryogenic storage. Focus on designing, installing, commissioning, qualifying, and improving regulated manufacturing utilities while coordinating maintenance, documentation, training, and cross-functional project execution.

What you will do
- Maintain and improve system specifications for black utilities.
- Support design reviews, equipment installation, commissioning, qualification, and technical project execution.
- Own and provide technical expertise for chilled water, plant steam, compressed air, vacuum, wastewater, cryogenic storage, and HVAC systems.
- Develop standard operating procedures, maintenance plans, training, and technical support for Facilities Technicians.
- Manage cost, quality, schedule, safety, and environmental requirements within the area of responsibility.
- Drive continuous process improvement and collaborate with internal and external engineering stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5–8+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Experience with black utilities and regulated environments, including FDA, cGMP, and OSHA requirements.
- Ability to read and review CAD design drawings and understand P&ID, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of URS, SAT, FAT, validation protocols, technical documentation, and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to work on-site, remain on feet for up to 12-hour shifts, handle equipment weighing up to 33 pounds, and work around noise, hazardous materials, elevated heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions when required.
Nice to have
- Experience with clean utilities such as WFI, purified water, clean steam, process air, and electrical systems.
- Experience planning and executing complex project and maintenance activities with cross-functional teams.
- Computer literacy with associated engineering and maintenance systems.
