Facilities Engineer II-MOB Full Time Days

Location: Lake Forest, Illinois, United States, supporting medical office buildings from Gurnee to Glenview and west to Grayslake. On-site Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with an on-call rotation approximately one week every four weeks.

Salary: $30–$41 per hour.

What you will do

• Operate and maintain high-pressure boilers, chillers, cooling towers, generators, electrical switchgear, medical air compressors, water-heating systems, and energy management systems.
• Perform safety checks, preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and equipment cleaning in power plants and mechanical rooms.
• Analyze boiler, chiller, cooling tower, and closed-loop system chemistry and add chemicals to maintain prescribed balances.
• Respond to service requests and emergencies by assessing problems, troubleshooting systems, correcting issues, and documenting work.
• Assist contractors and vendors with repairs, maintenance, and construction activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of relevant building maintenance experience.
• Technical maintenance training, HVAC/R trade school certification, or equivalent.
• Stationary Engineer license, or the ability to obtain one within one year of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and submission of a driving abstract.

Nice to have

• Hospital or military experience.
• One year of boiler maintenance training.
• Current universal refrigerant certification.
