Business and Data Analyst (Healthcare)

Location: Remote within the United States; Conditions: Sacramento, California

Salary: $31.24–$39.05 per hour, excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, metrics, and self-service tools for financial and operational performance.
• Build lightweight workflow and automation solutions with Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint.
• Consult with stakeholders to define business rules, data definitions, technical requirements, and data quality standards.
• Analyze trends, identify root causes, and recommend improvements to healthcare delivery, business processes, and financial performance.
• Provide financial tracking and operational support, including invoice review, practice health tracking, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with leaders, analysts, subject matter experts, and broader business units on reporting, technology, and healthcare programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Administration, Public Health, Technology, or an equivalent field.
• 1–3 years of experience in data analysis and/or healthcare-focused programs.
• Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query/M, and data modeling, and familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform tools.
• Ability to scope, design, and deliver technology solutions, translate business requirements into technical requirements, and work independently.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, project coordination, and data quality skills.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI and agentic tools, including AI coding assistants and intelligent automation.
• Experience with Tableau or other business intelligence tools.
• Additional experience planning and implementing healthcare-focused programs.
