Business Analyst - Data Science (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Structure and standardize Jira boards, requirements intake, documentation, and workflows for data science and data analytics teams.
• Capture, document, and refine business requirements and identify opportunities to streamline team processes.
• Build and maintain dashboards, prioritization lists, and documentation for the data science model portfolio, including model status and health.
• Co-design and run the process for prioritizing data science model work, including criteria, participants, documentation, and communication.
• Partner with data scientists, analysts, department leadership, and internal stakeholders to surface risks, blockers, and priority changes.
• Lead clear written and verbal communication about technical status and priorities for technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Mid-level profile with 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Project Manager supporting a technical department or team.
• Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with requirements intake, backlog management, prioritization, leadership updates, and facilitating prioritization decisions.
• Proficiency with Jira or similar tools for requirements gathering, backlog management, and workflow design.
• Experience with dashboard and reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI, plus a general understanding of data science and model concepts.
• Strong documentation, organization, communication, decision-making, and process-design skills in a compliance-sensitive environment.

Nice to have

• Experience or familiarity with healthcare claims data, payer operations, or PBM operations.
• Hands-on experience building dashboards.
