Structural Engineer Intern

What you will do

• Assist with field investigations, document structural conditions, and collect data for analysis.
• Evaluate structural integrity, damage, and deterioration across different building types.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and exhibits for internal and client use.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project partners on repair and rehabilitation solutions.
• Apply industry standards, building codes, and best practices in structural renewal.

Requirements

• Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
• Strong academic record and demonstrated interest in structural repair, renovation, or preservation.
• Curiosity, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn from experienced engineers.
• The position is based in Illinois and assumes work performed in Illinois.

Nice to have

• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, or structural analysis software.
