Medical Records Technicians (Healthcare Technology)

Location: Northlake, Illinois, United States; Workplace: Hybrid. The role requires travel to medical facilities and hospitals, including driving 60–80 miles or more round-trip.

Pay: $18–$21 per hour or $3 per retrieved record, paid semi-monthly based on the higher applicable amount.

What you will do

• Travel to medical facilities and hospitals to retrieve and scan patient medical records.
• Maintain organized, accurate, and complete patient information systems.
• Create digital copies of paperwork and store records electronically.
• File paperwork and reports quickly and accurately.
• Collect, organize, and manage data using electronic systems.
• Interact with medical staff, healthcare providers, and other medical personnel while following confidentiality procedures.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license, clean motor vehicle record, personal vehicle, and active insurance in the candidate’s name.
• Registration documentation for the personal vehicle.
• Internet access at home.
• Willingness to drive 60–80 miles or more round-trip.
• Basic PC and office equipment skills, including file copying, sharing, and transfer.
• Intermediate knowledge of medical chart structure, content, and medical terminology.
